The Toisanese Experience

The Toisan region in Southern China was a major source of Chinese immigrants in the Americas from the mid-19th and late-20th centuries.  The Toisanese diaspora has contributed to the building of early Chinatowns globally. 

Why Toisan United?

We are proud of our Toisanese heritage and created a line of tees, bags and sweatshirts in hopes of creating conversations and connections. We love when people ask, "What is Toisan?" or "Hey! My grandfather is from Toisan!"
